Bio

The Patriot Battalion traces it’s roots to the beginning of JCHS itself. The program has been offered to Students of Jefferson County High School since 1975.  From 1978 through 1981, I myself was a proud cadet in the Patriot Battalion. The values I was taught during my time in the program provided me with important information I needed to succeed in the United States Army.

As a soldier, I served God and Country as a Chaplain Assistant in the
101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), United States Army Garrison Fort Campbell Kentucky,  1st Armor Training Brigade Fort Knox Kentucky, and an array of overseas assignments including Germany, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bosnia.

JROTC’s mission:
“To Motivate Young People to become Better Citizens.”
For me, it did just that.
