I am beginning my fourth year at Jefferson County High School. Before coming to JCHS, I taught Spanish at schools in Knoxville, TN (2 years) and Nashville, TN (6 1/2 years). I am beginning my 12th year of teaching.

When I am not teaching Spanish, I am either relaxing or trying to maintain as well as improve my Spanish skills. I really am a hispanophile. I try to travel to Spanish-speaking countries as often as I can, especially Spain (I've already been twice and I am going back for Thanksgiving!). For the summer of 2018, I lived in Madrid, Spain for seven weeks traveling to the Spanish cities of Valencia, Barcelona, La Línea de Concepción, Algeciras, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, and the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta that lies on African continent surrounded by Morocco. While in Spain, I also had the opportunity to travel to Italy where I visited the cities of Rome, Naples, Venice and Padova. Starting this Fall (2018), I will be teaching SPAN 1010 Dual Enrollment (and SPAN 1020 in the Spring) in conjunction with Walters State Community College.
