Marching Band:

During the fall semester you will participate in the field shows, parades, and football games. You will also be required to go to some after school practices. You will compete in competitions at neighboring schools.

Concert Band:

During the Spring semester you will be playing your instrument indoors. You will also be in competitions during concert band. You will play concerts for family and friends, on several occasions, to show what you have learned from the class. You will study classical and contemporary band pieces.

Competitions:

You will compete in competitions during both semesters. In the marching band you will travel to other schools and perform your field show for judges. While in concert you will play a specific piece for judges.

Spring Trip:

Every Spring the band goes on a trip. They compete in a competition during this trip. There are several plays they alternate. New Orleans, New York, and Chicago are just a few.

Uniform Fund Raiser!!
The JCHS Band has had the same uniforms for almost 23 years. They are gravely in need of new improved uniforms. If you wish to help please contact Mr. Rogers, Mr. Grizzel, or a Band Booster.
